KEY [kee]: a thing that provides a means of gaining access to or understanding something.
CHALK [ch ok]: (phrasal verbs) to 'chalk something up': achieve something noteworthy.
KEY AND CHALK [kee and ch ok]: weapons of choice used against evil doers. familiar with the wise and adventurous, a key is often acquainted with freedom allowing access into the unknown and mysterious realms of this and other worlds. the chalk offers protection, remembrance, and sometimes, like a key, access (ie: a door can be drawn and opened with or without a key) to shelter and safety from harm. those bearing either item often find themselves restless, weary, abused and often defeated, but not dead. they continue fighting for what is believed to be right no matter the battle with head held high and feet planted firm.
ever notice how all childrens' (occasionally fantasy) stories/movies incorporate a key and/or a piece of chalk?
ie: the secret garden, pan's labyrinth, a little princess, return to oz, etc.
the main heroes in these movies are courageous, caring, wise beyond their years children whom never give up, even if defeated they stand strong for what they believe is right.
